This page has pieces that are quite special. Most are one of a kind, some are customizable, all are pretty cool. Over the 21 years of working with Mel Fisher and Family I have been fortunate to mount a variety of awesome treasure. I will continue to add to this page as I mount new pieces and find pre digital photos of old pieces. Argentium Silver is a faily new alloy. It is a dream to work with and does not tarnish like Sterling Silver does.

Atocha Silver Bar $130,000.00 Atocha Silver Bar This fantastic silver bar has incredible provenance associated with it. Along with the certificate of authenticity there is a typewritten letter to Dr James A. Quinn(an Atocha investor and original owner of the bar) from Homer Lyon(Atocha historian). Dr Lyons prepared a copy of the portion in the original manifest where the lading of the bar is to be found. He also provided a translation into modern Spanish and then into English He included commentary on the markings of the bar and a microphoto of the manifest. The bar weighs 82 pounds 1.6 ounces troy and has a purity of 99.16667% pure silver.

Sword Frog Not for Sale Silver and Gold Every year in May those who invested in the treasure hunting enterprises of Mel Fisher and family get their booty and one lucky woman got this very cool sword frog. It was broken so I pieced it together to make it look whole and mounted it on a silver backing

Margarita Flower $6000 22K and 14K Yellow Gold These are called "flowers", however, they were originally worn as bead embellishers from several pieces of treasure, either pins, earrings or necklaces. They were found on the Santa Margarita, sister ship to the Atocha. I mounted this particular flower with a diamond and a bail so it can be worn as a pendant. The artifact itself has not been compromised. My husband found this piece on the Margarita site in 2001.

Boson's Whistle $1000 14K Yellow Gold This is a replica of a boson's whistle found on the Atocha. It is plated with 24k to give it that yummy color. The actual artifact whistle can be seen at Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum in Key West. The original is small, made from 22K gold and is thought to be ornamental rather than a whistle the boson would use, though it does whistle. Mine does too, and I was so tickled pink when it really worked!

Gold Bit and Atocha Emerald Not for Sale 18K/24 Yellow Gold This gold bit and Atocha emerald went to one of the original divers on the Atocha wrecksite. The emeralds found on the Atocha were not on the manifest...they were contraband. One day when out diving, the "mailboxes" hit on the site of thousands of emeralds. It is affectionately called "Emerald City" and is, to this day, still worked. The sand in the area is vacuumed up by the "green weenie" (give the guys a break, they are out to sea for 10 to 20 days at a time and have nicknames for everything). The sand is professionally sifted through using dust pans and keen eyes to find the gems.
